My sympathy to Mary's family. I was lucky to know her. She was a funny lady and will be missed by many here in Florida. Many of us also miss her babies, Tea, Buddy and Emily. She loved them so. I pitched in and cooked for them when Mary was in Tampa General.

March 26, 2009 My last phone conversation with Mrs. Pisciotta was about one year ago. I told her she could put a person with a doctorate degree to shame. She was all inclusive. Her home was like the whistle stop cafe in fried green tomatoes.. Teens and friends could seek solace and be welcomed 24/7. Mary did not judge people who were poor or had any substance abuse addictions. She worked with people in need and at the former Candy organization helping those with substance abuse issues. She was like a mother to all and she was extremely proud of the her children rising to the occassion both in their professional lives in law and accounting but also in their mastering parenting and raising beautiful children. You can judge a friend when you are in times of need. Mary would make any immediate accommodations and let you stay at her home... She could play a mean game of Atari Pacman and could kick my butt in Space Invaders too!!! Mary and her beloved son, Joseph Diego, have been an integral and neccessary part of my adolescent experience in Saint James.
Mary took me for my first alpine ski trip to Waterville Valley, New Hampshire. I was immediately hooked on skiing. Her sense of humor was first class.. On the slopes she said her lungs werent used to the fresh air as a former smoker.. Sweet Mary "Theresa" I am very grateful for you and your family. You were a fighter...a survivor.... and you helped make me oppose injustice in any and all forms...You were a visionary accepting people thirty years before it was hip or socially cool to do so. Part of your character has seeped into mine....Thank you and my deepest sympathy to all your friends and family. I am happy you are buried less than a hundred feet from my beloved three relatives... Peace..Love..Harmony...Justice.. Love you April 18, 2009 Oh My Dear Friend Mary. You have been such a great friend to me for so many years. The unconditional love, joy and sorrow we shared will be with me until I join you. I love you very much. Donnie Callahan **********************************************************
